Title: Group Recording Project
Leader: Senior Students of the Academy of Music and Sound

Venue: South Bridge Resource Centre, Infirmary Street, Edinburgh. EH1 1LT
Length: 1.5 hours approx.
Age Range: 11-18
Requirements: Bring your instrument if you have one: guitars, bass and percussion will be provided on the day
Musical Experience Required: Some playing experience in popular music styles (not essential, however)
Skills Level: All levels welcome
Description: Over the course of this workshop, participants will be given the opportunity to learn an acoustic arrangement of (TBC song) with senior year students and tutors from the Academy of Music and Sound. Working in groups, participants will rehearse the track before making a live recording which will be mixed and burned to disc shortly after the session completes. The workshop is best suited to those with a small amount of playing experience but young people of all abilities are welcome to take part. This is a perfect opportunity for anyone interested in live/group performance and/or DIY recording to come and have a bash and learn about the process.
