Description: Working with Fraser Fulton, lead singer and songwriter with Victorian Trout Conspiracy, this workshop will give participants the opportunity to write and record a song! You will explore different rhythms and tempos and work within a group to choose a genre to create an original song. After exploring some basic musical ideas, the group will then work together to create lyrics for the song and practice and refine the piece together over the course of the afternoon. Using the musical skills of participants and the various instruments available, the group will then work on a basic arrangement for the piece before going into the recording studio to record a demo version of the afternoons work.
This workshop is a fantastic opportunity to learn about different techniques in songwriting and develop an understanding of the craft.
